The Long Dark Trail is an indie folk horror coming-of-age feature film. Written and directed by Nick Psinakis and Kevin Ignatius, it tells the story of two impoverished teenage brothers who manage to escape their abusive father, only to embark on a treacherous and haunted journey in the hope of finding their estranged mother who has joined a sadistic cult, deep in the woods of Northwestern Pennsylvania.
The film’s musical score has been referred to as both hypnotic and haunting by movie critics.
In addition, the film was an official selection for numerous prestige film festivals around the globe, including Weekend of Fear, IFI Horrorthon, The Festival De Cannes Blood Window Selection and Be Afraid Horror Fest.
